Scott McQuade leads management and advocacy for the largest country office of UNAIDS, the world's programme for ending the AIDS epidemic. He develops external relations for UNAIDS in South Africa, which brings together 11 UN agencies with Government, civil society, private sector and myriad other stakeholders. Formerly a communications manager for the United Nations in Germany and Japan, Scott was also a Director of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK–the world's largest organization for marketing professionals.
Scott has advised private and public companies, charities and government organizations worldwide. He was the publisher at UN University in Japan and wrote speeches for Secretaries General of OPEC (Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) in Austria. Scott was formerly a journalist, editor and public relations consultant in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
Qualified with an MBA, political science degree and professional training in negotiations, media interviews, project management, publishing and development, Scott works in public relations and political advocacy, using digital and traditional publishing and social media.
